Here’s what’s on FABULOUS 4LEGS Radio

7am – 9am The Pete Brady Breakfast Show

As Christmas Day approaches, you will not be surprised to learn that I will be featuring some festive music this morning. Plus, at 8, my Featured Artist is the Searchers. Along with the Swinging Blue Jeans, the Searchers tied for being the second group from Liverpool, after the Beatles, to have a hit in the US.

9am – 11am Yabber Yabber with Chris Capel

My guest this week is Rob Chicken (pic right) from Hungerford who’ll be talking about a project he embarked upon to build his own Yacht. I’ll also be playing some great tunes and of course some Christmas numbers and I’ll take a look at this day in music history.

11am – 11.30am The Local Eco Show

On this week’s Local Eco Show Penny will be chatting to local nature author Nicola Chester (pic) about her recent book Ghosts on the Farm. This is a must-read for anyone interested in our local landscape, wildlife, sustainable farming, rural communities and the role of women in agriculture from the second world war onwards.

11.30am - 12noon This Week with Penny & Brian

Penny and Brian will give a round up of local news and events plus some of the details behind the stories.

12noon - 12.30pm The Downlands Racing Show with Chris Carter Brennan

There’s 2 a day pre-Christmas fixture at Cheltenham for Chris to get his teeth into. Hopefully he can find you a few winners to help fund some of those  Christmas presents.

12.30pm – 1.05pm "What We Had" a play written by Andy Kempe

Another fantastic play written by Andy Kempe (pic) and performed by The Greenham Tower Theatre Company ” What We Had” tells the story of  two sisters and two brothers, were brought up by her single mother in the shadow of the USAF base at Greenham Common.

1.05pm - 2.05pm Harmony with Chris Booth & Tim Forrester

In this programme, Chris. Booth and Tim. Forrester will be talking about and playing music from some of the best Harmony groups in pop history. You may hear some vocal delights from The Beach boys, The Beatles, The Eagles and many others..…….Thankfully Chris and Tim will not be singing !!!!!!

2.05 – 4.05 Face2Face with Tim & Linda Forrester

On Face2Face this week, we will have a look at the origins of some of our Christmas traditions and we will recall the life of Fred Astaire for whom White Christmas was originally written. Plus a boozy raccoon and a trip to Hoddesdon Manor,  where we find out about the dog that ate the trousers.
